Camera Education
Different Cameras Do Different Jobs.
Camera shape alone does not determine image quality. Lens, sensor, lighting, distance, and installation position all matter.

Bullet Cameras
Visible Security. Targeted Protection.
Bullet cameras provide a noticeable security presence while delivering focused surveillance of important areas. Their adjustable design makes them an excellent choice for monitoring driveways, entrances, parking areas, and property boundaries.
Ideal for: Driveways, access roads, parking lots, and building perimeters.

Turret Cameras
Discreet Design. Powerful Performance.
Turret cameras combine a compact appearance with versatile surveillance capabilities. Their adjustable lens positioning and unobstructed camera housing make them especially effective for residential installations and dependable nighttime monitoring.
Ideal for: Home exteriors, soffits, garages, porches, and entryways.

Dome Cameras
Streamlined Appearance. Dependable Coverage.
Dome cameras feature a protective enclosure that offers a clean, professional appearance. Many models are designed to resist tampering and are well suited for high-traffic areas where durability and discreet surveillance are important.
Ideal for: Commercial buildings, offices, retail spaces, hallways, and covered entrances.

PTZ Cameras
Expanded Visibility. Advanced Control.
Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras provide the ability to remotely adjust viewing direction and zoom in on areas of interest. Select models also offer automated tracking, making them a versatile option for monitoring large properties and open spaces.
Ideal for: Large properties, parking lots, warehouses, and commercial facilities.

Panoramic & Multi-Sensor Cameras
Wider Coverage. Fewer Blind Spots.
Panoramic and multi-sensor cameras offer expanded viewing angles to monitor larger areas from a single installation location. Depending on the model, they can provide wide-angle or multi-directional coverage, reducing the need for multiple traditional cameras.
Ideal for: Large yards, parking areas, building exteriors, and expansive commercial spaces.

Video Doorbell Cameras
See Who's There. From Anywhere.
Video doorbells provide convenient monitoring of your front entrance, allowing you to see visitors, receive activity notifications, and communicate through supported two-way audio features. Select models integrate with smart home and security platforms for additional convenience.
Ideal for: Front doors, entryways, residential properties, and small businesses.
Professionally Designed Surveillance Solutions
Choosing the right security camera involves more than appearance. Viewing angles, lighting conditions, image resolution, recording capabilities, and camera placement all influence the effectiveness of your surveillance system.
At Valora Integrated Solutions, we take the time to understand your concerns, evaluate your property, and recommend cameras that complement your security needs and budget.
Whether you're protecting your family home, business, or a larger property, our goal is to provide a reliable, professionally installed system designed around you.

How Your Video Is Saved
NVR, Cloud, and Hybrid Recording Explained.
What Is an NVR?
A Network Video Recorder receives video from compatible network cameras and saves it to on-site hard drives. It often supports continuous, scheduled, or event recording.
What Is Cloud Recording?
Video clips are uploaded to remote servers. Many residential services save detected events rather than every second of footage. Internet access and a service plan are generally needed.
What Is Hybrid?
Some compatible systems combine on-site recording with cloud-based event storage or access. Availability and exactly what gets backed up depend on the platform.
Compare the Tradeoffs
Consideration Local NVR Cloud Recording
Storage On-site hard drives Remote servers
24/7 recording Common Plan-dependent
Internet outage Local recording can continue Uploads generally stop; if network/power remain some devices buffer locally
Ongoing fees Often no recording subscription Typically recurring subscription
Maintenance Drive and recorder upkeep Less local recording hardware
Physical theft/damage Local footage may be lost Previously uploaded clips remain off-site
Recording history Depends on storage and settings Depends on plan and retention policy
Neither option is universally better. We'll recommend a configuration based on your recording needs, internet connection, budget, and comfort with recurring fees.
Valora Learning Center
Understand What Your Cameras Can—and Cannot—Do.
01 · Camera Placement
Height, angle, field of view, sun glare, and obstructions affect results. One wide-view camera may show an event without capturing enough detail to identify someone. We plan coverage around entrances, activity areas, and potential blind spots.
02 · Night Vision
Infrared can show monochrome scenes in darkness. Low-light color needs enough available light. Built-in white lights can improve color visibility but may be noticeable to neighbors. Night performance varies widely by model.
03 · Intelligent Analytics
Supported cameras can distinguish some people and vehicles, create detection zones, or alert on line crossing. These tools reduce irrelevant notifications but are not perfect: weather, shadows, distance, and lighting can cause missed or false alerts.
04 · Recording Retention
Want roughly 7, 14, or 30 days of footage? Capacity depends on camera count, resolution, frame rate, compression, and continuous versus event recording. We size storage to your goals; exact retention is an estimate, not a guarantee.
05 · Resolution & Lens
1080p (2MP), 4MP, 5MP, and 4K (8MP) describe image detail—not guaranteed identification. A suitable lens and camera distance can matter more than adding megapixels. License-plate capture may require specialized cameras and placement.
06 · Wired vs. Wi-Fi
PoE cameras use Ethernet for network and often power, offering a stable choice for permanent installations. Wi-Fi cameras depend on wireless signal quality and may still need a power cable. Battery models may limit continuous recording.
07 · Privacy & Cybersecurity
We favor strong unique passwords, multifactor authentication where supported, secure remote access, firmware updates, limited user permissions, and privacy-conscious camera placement. Avoid recording neighbors' private areas or sensitive interior spaces.
08 · Power & Internet
An NVR may keep recording without internet if the local network and power remain available. A properly sized UPS can help during brief outages; battery runtime is limited. Cloud uploads generally require connectivity.
09 · Maintenance & Support
Clean lenses, check recording health, review alerts, maintain drive capacity, and update software. We'll explain what routine care your chosen system needs and available support options.
Heading 5
Detection is not identification. A camera may show that a person entered an area without capturing a clear face. Reliable identification depends on conditions and system design.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers Before You Decide.
Can I view cameras from my phone?
Many supported systems provide secure remote viewing with an internet connection and properly configured app.
Will my cameras work when the internet is down?
Local NVR recording can often continue if cameras, network, recorder, and power remain operational. Cloud uploads generally require internet access.
Does Alarm.com require cloud-only video?
No. Certain compatible Alarm.com equipment supports local recording features. Exact options depend on your system and service plan.
Will I need a monthly subscription?
Cloud recording and Alarm.com services typically require a subscription. Many independent NVR systems can record locally without a mandatory cloud recording fee.
Can cameras capture license plates?
Specialized cameras may capture plates under suitable conditions. General-purpose cameras often cannot reliably read plates at night or on moving vehicles.
How many days of recording can I keep?
It depends on local drive capacity or cloud plan, camera count, compression, video settings, and recording activity. We'll help estimate the capacity you need.
Can a camera prevent a crime?
Visible cameras may deter some activity and provide useful documentation, but they cannot guarantee prevention or replace other protective measures.
Do you offer both residential and commercial systems?
Yes. We design solutions for homes and businesses, including camera selection, recording options, remote viewing, and integration where compatible.
